New Home Star

Progressing from Intern all the way to Lead Graphic Designer, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of New Home Star (NHS) projects, both big and small. In addition to improving soft skills such as presenting business plans, leading meetings, and communicating with my team, I’ve worked on a variety of projects covering branding, iconography, packaging, print design, design for social media, and more.

Birthday card design and gifs created for our company gifting initiative.

Collection of recognition gifs for NHS’s proprietary platform, New Home Connect. Our agents can utilize these gifs to give teammates shout-outs.

Animations done by hand using Procreate and/or Fresco, with clean-up in Illustrator.

Tote bag design for International Women’s Day. Final design co-created with my colleague (Alek Medenica); he designed the final illustration, and I did the lettering. My initial proposed design and quote is also shown here.

Proposed logo concept for a national company initiative with the given theme of “Ignite Innovation.”


Graphic template and initial variations for use on the company’s proprietary tech, meant to welcome new Builder partners. Graphic needed to represent the state in which the new divisions are located.


Basic gifs for the company’s Holiday Cheer email campaign, which is a yearly initiative in which the company donates new toys to the local fire department. Gifs were utilized in separate emails, with the second created to build upon the first.


In anticipation of a website remodel to go hand-in-hand with New Home Star’s recent brand update, I was tasked with auditing our current website and suggesting new design features based on my findings. Competitor websites were analyzed from the lens of NHS’s main target persona, and then compared against our own website. I extracted pain points from the persona’s perspective in tandem with my design background, then and put together a full mock-up of my suggestions to solve the present challenges. Full audit report, mockups, and additional outstanding recommendations are shown.
