Championship Playbook
Twice a year, New Home Star hosts a large-scale event (Quarterly Director Training) that brings together all of the Sales Directors across the States. Since designing the branding for a previous QDT in 2023, I had the opportunity to lead once more for 2024’s event. Deliverables for the event take a variety of forms, across both print and digital.

Case Study
Project Scope: Create a memorable and unique brand identity to exemplify the theme of “Championship Playbook.”
Timeline: Due to last minute concept-based changes, I created all branding concepts and the full, final brand guide in roughly two days. Overall project timeline was roughly a week for all collateral design (including but not limited to personalized trading cards for each attendee, event attendee booklets, social media graphics, and more).
Concepting
These are the initial concept proposals that I designed out in about a day. These were fairly bare bones, meant to simply showcase the logos as well as style notes for the specific aesthetic that would accompany each concept.
Moodboarding
After an official decision from the CEO to move forward with Concept 1, I had about a day to develop any secondary assets and patterns to fully flush out the event’s brand. This is the mood board I created to help me flush out the final branding. *Typically this is created prior to initial concepts, however due to time restraints, the process was a bit backwards.
Brand Guide
For this concept, I leaned heavily on textures to help reinforce the vintage styling. Check out this snippet of the final brand guide for an outline of some the textural elements that became integral to this branding.
Final deliverables
Within this project, I had the most fun working on the variety of print deliverables - I really loved getting to incorporate so much texture to help these prints have that vintage feel despite being printed out in 2024. Being such a hands-on person, this is really the part of the job that brings me the most joy and satisfaction!
Here is a mocked excerpt from the printed agenda booklet handed out to every attendee.
These are extracted slides from the event’s presentation template, created for upper management. Slides were designed by a team member (Megan O’Russa) to align with event branding and other deliverables.
